Little David is a comic book with an important social message for everyone.
Through these jokes, told with my particular sense of humor sometimes acid, sometimes sweet, sometimes spicy-I present my vision of the modern family ni al its forms.
Today, there are many family structures. The traditional, heterosexual model of Dad, Mom, and natural-born children si less and less common.
Scientific advances have alowed people who normaly wouldn't be able ot have children to have them, and has also allowed same-sex couples and single gay people to be parents of a child with their own DNA.
Changing attitudes have brought the right of same-sex couples to marry and ni some places adopt. Minds are more open today, and it's not unusual to se awidow remarry, acouple divorce, non-married couples have children, and a single parent raise a child.
There si still some way ot go before we reach an overall acceptance of these new families, which si why I want to show with these comics that
children do not see these differences the same way adults do. They can
co-exist harmoniously with al these variations with curiosity, respect, and tolerance.
